Thnx, praise Christ. I feel as though the world has never wanted me, neither does the church. I know that Jesus is The Christ, i believe, I've been baptized, I'm in repentance and sanctification. Yet my soul is very downcast at my past sins always. I don't get it. I thought if i forsake my sins, I'd be happy. The only thing i know is this: I've put my hand to the plow and can't look back. Thanks for the encouragement, sir. PS: i can't reply now to replies as my android keeps giving me an "error has occurred " message. I'll try tomorrow, back to my R.C. Sproul binge 😊

My favorite analogy (remember, it's just an analogy, but it's very useful) is built on God being the author of all history, hence it's "His-story" - but that's a groaner, I know!
Dostoyevsky created good Alyosha, as well as the evil, disgusting, despicable Smerdyakov. They were characters in Dostoevsky's good novel (The Brothers Karamazov), and so were both part of a masterpiece - even though reading about the evil brother's works will make you wretch and shout, "Why?"
Our greatest human stories have ugly evil in them, evil that accentuates the glories of the good guys. Should we expect less splendor and complexity in the works of the Author of all authors?

Indeed, you are a liar. Calvinism doesn’t teach God permits things but that He is the sole cause of everything. Don't believe these heretics.
“I like to explain it this way. If there is one molecule in the universe running loose outside of the control of God’s sovereignty, what I like to call the one maverick molecule, then the practical implication for us as Christians is that we have no guarantee whatsoever that any future promise that God has made to His people will come to pass.” (God’s Sovereignty: Chosen by God, R.C. Sproul).

1 Peter 4. Like Jesus Christ we were made to suffer in the joy of the Lord.
