4150mah (initial capacity) og Nord is giving me 6hr sot after 4yrs of use. 5000mah is really big if optimised good enough and efficient

On the flipside i dont think this just has to do with the new chip, the new AI features which seem to be coming to every new phone now also consume a pot of processing power and run in background , so that may also be the case why companies are making bigger batteries. For instance the s23 ultra took a huge hit in battery life after the latest galaxy AI update😢 and so did the older iphone 15 pro and the older ipad

Coz they r gonna use Silicon-carbon battery instead of lithium polymer. It is higher density battery and it is fairly new type of battery which is more promising than li-po.

I think cause 1 batteries degrade over time so your 5000mah battery might only hold 4750, and 2 because it's an easy selling point to people that don't know anything

They're planning to support the devices longer than ever, so including a bigger battery is just to counteract the degradation over years of use. No one's doubting Qualcomm, also companies are shifting to a newer tech unlike Apple.

People want phones that last for two days or more because they're always on the go and they don't have chargers. They don't want to go back to their hotels when they're about to run out of battery.

After hearing this, id better see at least 5,500mah at least on the s25u, the reason why would most likely be because people dont want theyre phone to last a day, 2 most, i want a single charge to last a day and half comfortably

I mean, these companies are giving long software support so they need better batteries, regardless of the chipset. Also, we're at a hardware stalemate where everyone has similar specs so increased battery can be a selling point.
