My Favorite story she told was she took the three children to Czechoslovakia.

She was correct. My spouse and I kept our offspring busy with various activities. Our daughter made this comment years ago “I was too busy to get in trouble”. We laughed, but it worked.

I did something similar, discipline is not hitting or yelling... its teaching.. I kept my kids busy and spoke with them about everything we saw or did ... even though we couldn't afford all of those classes we did boy scouts and girl scouts, dance and baseball, also karate and music
They never got in trouble, not even a speeding ticket..

I was raised with a single parent along with my brother. my mother worked 5 days a week. Times she bought groceries and pay the bills she didn't have money left over to put us in classes to keep us busy. But we played with family a lot with games and cards, or go to a movie

Having children who know and love the Lord Jesus Christ is first. Spending time with them, reading books, and being outdoors in nature with them. I think it's good also to try out all sports and see which one they live the most. You don't need much money to love them and be with them. I truly enjoyed home educating my four children, and they are raising wonderful children of their own. ❤
