Hello everyone!! In this video I try to turn the old Harbor Freight Anvil into something useful for the blacksmith (Knife making) shop.
The only tools I used are...
1. Angle Grinder, w/ Cutoff wheel, flap disc, and grinding wheel
2. Files,
3. Hack Saw

I started by reshaping the horn. I wanted a more cone shaped horn rather than a football shaped horn.
I also removed the paint and rounded over all the 90° edges on the body. This part isn't necessary, but I like the way it looks.
Then I ground in some different radii in the edges of the face. The face of this anvil is cast iron so it's not really useful to forge on.
The main reason I wanted to use this anvil as a 2nd option in the shop is for the hardy hole. The hardy hole on my main Vevor Anvil Is huge. So having a smaller hole will make it easier for me to make hardy tools. The hardy tools I make will be high carbon hardenable steel. So I do feel like this anvil will be useful.
