In 1994, Cindy Walters and MichƔl Cohen broke new ground by founding Walters & Cohen Architects, a female-led firm at a time when that was a rarity. Their practice has always stood for diversity and inclusion.
Cindy and MichĆ”l left apartheid South Africa seeking the relative peace and inclusivity of the UK, and have since welcomed talented staff from across the globe, regardless of religion, ethnicity, politics, gender, or sexuality. They advocate for equal opportunities and equal pay, values that should be commonplace! āš½
ā¶ļø Cindy Walters, originally from Australia, spent a significant part of her early career in South Africa before moving to the UK. Her experiences have deeply shaped her views on social justice, equity, and the importance of inclusivity. She participated at our event in London last year.
