Because it was stat padding and resulted in the team being 6th in the west. To be the goat you need to have championships not. Stats that’s accumulate nothing. Stats don’t mean shit if you don’t got the rings to back it up.

I know its hard for some, but you have to let go of this superstar title for Russ. he WAS a star and a franchise player for multiple teams, but he isn't anywhere near that anymore. He doesn't fit with the nuggets and can't run the 2 man game well with Jokic. He had a good run tho.

Never best player. He was stealing rebounds from his teammates, passing and forcing teammates to shoot for assists, and besides driving to the basket, he's below average offensively (he's shot under 30% from 3 for majority of his carrer. His overall fg% is 28% this year😅). Hall of Fame player, but it's not hating for people to call out the truth
