It's just blood basically, dynamite and cultist included.
Also the graphics look like they were made by someone who thinks that old games just looked bad. They didn't make games look bad, they tried to make games look as good as they could but were limited by technology. That's something a lot of retro graphics indie games seem to misunderstand.
The gameplay might be great but those are two nitpicks I have with a lot of indie games like this. They're always a spiritual successor to something else and they always misunderstand what made the look of the game they are trying to recreate so special. I think a game is more than just the gameplay, so I think those are big problems.
I'd rather see something original and with a well done aesthetic. There's nothing wrong with purposeful limitations, but if you're going to emulate the look of old games, you have to understand that they tried their best to make it look as good as they were able to do so (limited by either hardware limitations or talent). Now we're at a point where graphical limitations are essentially a choice, which is cool, but graphical limitations shouldn't mean aesthetical limitations.
