This "rumor" is nothing more than a lie, IGN is pushing it along with Forbes.
You debunked this in this very video, PlayStation has always been loud and open whenever they get exclusivity deals, timed or otherwise, so why not do that here especially since even before release Black Myth Wukong was arguably the most anticipated game of the year.
You don't pay for exclusivity and then not tell anyone about it, that defeats the whole purpose. And what do you mean by "wouldn't be the first time"? Any studio is required to disclose exclusivity of ANY kind, that's required by law. What do they stand to gain by getting exclusivity and then lying about it when this could get them in serious legal trouble if caught?
None of this makes any sense. But you know what does? Xbox, and specifically the Series S, is having trouble running a hgh profile game due to lack of memory. We already saw this happen last year with Baldurs Gate 3 and apparently had some serious problems with Alan Wake 2 as well. Xbox has a track record for the Series S not being able to handle modern titles but PlayStation has never nor is there any reason for them to sign secret exclusivity deals.
This whole rumor stinks of desperate damage control on behalf of Microsoft.
