Good Video and interessting results Mat, But: you got the diameters wrong. 7.62x51mm or .308 Winchester has a Bullet Diameter of 0.308 inches or 7.82mm. 7.62x39mm has a projectile diameter of 0.312 inches or 7.92 mm. But you can find in the field everything from .308 up to .312 bullets loaded in 7.62x39mm cartridges.
And that fact means that if you shoot a .312 bullet through a barrel made for a .308 bullet that you get an over pressior event that can be dangerous up to rapid disassembly stile deconstrotion of the waepon. This didnt happen here because the max Pressure of 7.62x39 is 45000 psi (SAAMI) and 62000 psi for the 7.62x51mm plus the the longer chamber here gave the system enouth dwell time to press the bullet in the lands and elongate it in the process without reaching pressure levels that explodes the new gun.
