OH MY GOD time for a conspiracy theory me and some friends came up with a year ago at a band camp. So our theory is that one of the requirements for being a band director is to go to wizard school. One of our band directors can teleport, he can summon sonic drinks, and he can summon literally any sheet music, like WHERE THE HECK DID YOU GET THAT VERY SPECIFIC SONG I LIKE THAT LITERALLY NO ONE HAS HEARD OF AS A FRENCH HORN SOLO??? That's like virtually impossible! And another band director has the ability to magically fix any instrument by reciting a special spell that I've heard to be something like "did you empty your spit?" or "did you grease your slides?" A stuck valve? Fixed. A tuning issue? Fixed. Your instrument got hit by a steamroller and is flat? Fixed. Another band teacher can instantly teleport to the nearest phone that is out or on a music stand. Our director last year is immortal, he had so many random health emergencies and had a heart surgery and is still completely fine and happy and I'm honestly surprised he's not dead yet. The new director? Still haven't seen any evidence yet though, my friend thinks he used chatgpt through wizard school. And apparently this band director can read minds, because no way she just makes a video on a theory my friend came up with and often talk about.

Honestly, even though getting the high notes out on a trumpet is hard, I have this one particular concert song that I can do some really smooth high notes on. But then, in other songs that I don’t ever get the opportunity to rest for a couple measures on, even a B is hard to play. It feels so mix-matched sometimes too. 😭

The guy who forgot the concert is so real. One guy missed it and faced a year of torment. Never missed one again though!
