Even though this movie was kind of goofy, I absolutely loved it as a child, and would watch it quite often!!!!
I remember thinking âoh my god they got a guy that looks just like Mario to play Mario !!!???â I always thought Bob Hoskins was perfect for the role, he also was in who framed Roger rabbit, which I loved as a child as well.
But I felt the same way about John Leguizamo playing Luigi

Iâll have to look into getting this one. I have a a bunch of demo tapes. Have you checked it out yet to see if anything is different because quite a few of the demo tapes Iâve got have extended, or sometimes completely different scenes than what was in the finished product ether way nice find

One of my friends growing up had a relative who worked for some media company and he'd send us these demo tapes all the time (early 90s). We used to joke that the tapes were annoying to watch because every few minutes it would flash across the screen "demo tape, blah blah blah don't distribute"
