Ah you remind me so much of my brothers friend Hayata — he came to America and went to college with my brother for a year. You look just like him. He used to teach us Japanese slang and curse words and we’d teach him english slang and curse words. I’ll never forget when he stayed at our house for two weeks and him and my brother were speaking completely in Japanese and making inside jokes like best friends. He really loved America but sadly could only stay for a year because he was from a very rich family and had his whole life and career planned for him. We took a picture with each other before he left and his exchange program put our picture on pamphlets and advertisements in Japan because we were all smiling and happy (and his dad runs a major tech company so having his son smiling with Americans on a billboard was good for their business). I still text him to this day. Thanks for reminding me of Hayata, and I hope you are enjoying America as much as he did

I live on the East Coast where D.C is. D.C has some cool stuff but there's a lot of cool hikes in Virginia, Upstate New York, Maine, etc. I heavily recommend Shenandoah in Virginia and Acadia in Maine.

Portion sizes are so big bc in America there is a rlly big left over culture. So when we go out, it usually feeds us for atleast another day!)
