Knowing how soldiers love to fuck around, I imagine there was a couple times where officers found the soldiers spinning around the gun like those spinning platforms at the playground.

This gun model was still useful in Pacific Theater where Alllied forces here mainly faced Japanese light tanks.

If you need this in 360 then I wouldn't want to sit in that seat.

Dude on the gun is just so cheerful I love it. Heā€™s just like ā€œWeatherā€™s shite, but I got me big gun and thatā€™s all I needā€

A anti tank gun seat is better than our seat in school

Its amazing that this used to be an Anti-Tank round that fired single shots. Now it's an regular autocannon that could fire multiple shot in quick succession, it's like comparing bolt action rifle to an assault rifle in 80 years later.

I don't know what it is, but I'm becoming more and more fond of these mortars, AT cannons, & AT rifles (20 mm specifically) of this era

My god the antique brass actions of the olden day weapons/mechanisms will never fail to scratch that itch in my brain. Beautiful piece of machinery.

My dad trained on these as a driver he drove the PortƩe. Just before he was about to go to North Africa he was given a war office posting to the REME where he became an armourer. When he finally arrived in North Africa he volunteered for the SAS after losing patience waiting for his secondment.
