The Beatles are the best foundation to learn song writing. They use practically every chord shape, their chord changes are very creative and complex, even if the song sounds simple. The way they accentuate songs is also amazing, with their use of other instruments. Listen to obladi, penny lane, strawberry fields and notice all the different instruments that serve a single purpose - to make the song sound larger and fuller. You can hear the Melodieās in Kurtās playing, he was very creative with his chord changes.

He's probably criticizing Paul's solo work more than Paul's contribution to The Beatles. John was the rebel. George was actually the rebel in the band. The first to throw wine at the paparazzi, lo key insulting other TV hosts, saying "I'll kick your ass" during a TV special in 1964, and possibly the only one to get in the face of Yoko in front of John. John did nothing during that altercation.. confirmed by Lennon himself!

As I'm a Pisces like Kurt was, I kinda always figured George would be his favorite Beatle like me, even though I knew Kurt loved John. George was a Pisces as well(and shared my birthday, which is uncommon in my experience for some reason! I meet a lot of people with birthdays a day or two before or after Feb. 25th, but very, very few on the actual same day!), so it would've made sense, but I totally get where Kurt was coming from with his opinion! John was amazing. So was Kurt. And George....
