Stree 2 Film Review 🍿Part 1
#aditivedwan The most awaited film of the year, “Stree 2,”has finally been released, and trust me, it’s worth the 6-year wait. You might remember that the first part came out in 2018, made on a modest budget of just 24 crores, and it went on to make an impressive 180 crore at the box office. Now, with “Stree 2“ being made on a 50 crore budget, it’s expected to double that success, especially since it has already become the highest advance ticket booking film of the year.
This film truly captures the essence of horror-comedy, balancing both genres brilliantly. Maddock has beautifully expanded their universe here, adding depth and excitement. From a screenplay perspective, the inclusion of cameos is handled exceptionally well. The story picks up after the events of the first part, introducing a new villain, Sarkata, who’s haunting the people of Chanderi.
The chemistry between the friends feels authentic, almost as if they’re real-life friends. With talented actors like Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, and Pankaj Tripathi, the film delivers a genuinely comedic experience. The cinematography is classy and exquisite, adding to the overall feel of the movie. Shraddha Kapoor’s superhero-like entry breathes new life into the film, and this time, the makers have ensured she gets ample screen time. And of course, we can’t forget Rajkumar Rao, who shines once again as Vicky, the savior of Chanderi.
Now, speaking of the weaker points, apart from Bhojpuri star Pawan Singh’s song “Aayi Ni”,the rest of the songs feel somewhat average. The VFX is also a bit underwhelming. However, if you’re planning to watch “Stree 2”, you definitely should, as it’s a fully entertaining film. And if you want to enjoy the Maddock universe to the fullest, consider watching “Stree”, “Bhediya”, and “Munjyaa” before diving into this one—it’ll make the experience even more interesting!
