(A dog with one leg lost, wandering in the rain, was rescued.)
A dog sits in the rain, drenched and alone.
As we approach, it immediately runs away.
Watching it run, we notice that one leg seems badly injured.
We follow it for a while, waiting patiently until it grows too tired to run anymore.
Once it stops, we carefully offer it some treats.
Gently, we pick up the exhausted dog and take it to the vet.
We ask the vet to examine its leg first, suspecting it was injured in an accident.
However, the vet, after a thorough check, says something completely unexpected.
There are no signs of trauma or fractures. Instead, the leg seems to have been severed by something sharp.
The thought that someone might have done such a cruel thing is heart-wrenching.
Thankfully, the dog receives treatment and finally appears to be recovering.
We hope it heals quickly and that its future is filled with nothing but happiness and joy.
