Great story. What I got from this is that, living from a state of abundance, will always keep more abundance flowing your way, like attract like, and for the others who felt upset about paying, complaining about it, was actually coming from a place of lack, their energy of not wanting to pay, is a form of lack, little did they know even though they could pay, but you understood that abundance is better than the latter!!! 👏 😉 living a life of abundance in all things, and you will always have plenty, living from a place of lack and complaining about whatever keeps you in the midst of more things to complain about and lack o

It's happend to me before, I lit can't.stand squabbling over a check at the end of a meal. My husdand is the same and we always go out with the intention to pay as you just never know what will happen. We will usually just pay for ourselves though. It seems like your intuition told you the host was in a wierd situation so you offered to pay. Otherwise, I can't imagine someone allowing u to pay for them unless it was their birthday or somthing... I like that your intuition led you down the right path... ❤

Kinda sorta similar; not ROI but years ago when I was younger and lots of us were driving around in groups here and there I always paid for the gas (petrol in Australia) No one else ever helped out just took it all for granted and freeloaded and I had respect for the drivers and their cars: what I got back was my own Self Respect and personal dignity. Recently I did similar with a neighbour and every time he; very surprised accepted my financial contributions for his help and work which he offered for free. I was happy until one day he ripped me off and I discovered he was a narcissist and I had to learn the skills on how to handle Narcissists > in the process I learnt and woke up to learn my family were Narcissists. Because of my neighbour and my generosity of spirit I learnt a very valuable lesson about my family and people. It wasn't easy; still to this day is very hard because I went no contact with my family...guess I am rambling! My father used to say in his dark humour: "Every Silver Lining has a Cloud" I learnt that each of those Clouds have another /Silver Lining. Shame my family miss out on me and my love

Yes. That's you do it when you can. Great reaction!
And of course the host should have said it before, that it will cost some money, so that they were prepared.
If it was a private invitation, they might have thought it was for free.
And the strange thing us, that rich people often are more looking for free stuff and where to pay less, then people with little money.
It's a question of having a good character. And to feel abundant never the less.
