This video is marking my progress towards a 3D-printed R2-D2 periscope lifter mechanism. Unfortunately, there is a little too much play in the bearings and unless I relieve the load by squaring up the lifter tray to the gear rack, the stepper does not have enough torque to overcome that friction.
