New here! Is it not necessary to breakup the roots a little bit when re potting??? My mother has always been set on the idea that you have to break up the bottoms at least before you put a plant into the ground

So the lower leaves of my monstera are drooping but I bottom watered my monstera a week ago and I checked and it doesn’t need water but I feel like the lower leaves are dropping because I didn’t water throughly so now idk what to do should I risk it for the biscuit and water it again even tho I know she doesn’t “need” water right now
