You need to practice a lot as well with long handle to get control along with power . The control goes away and it takes time to play shots like pull outside off drive.

Actually no. I played for prayag academy up untill 17 and now i live overseas and play for local club in neth and i was always surprised by my friend who use to open and used to hold bat from above and used to hit big boundaries. I used this and failed. Everybody has a natural grip and stance, taking it from others is just not good.
This can be used if you can control your wrist and forearm better mid swings. I am a 3/4 down batsmen and i play low shots more than fly high boundaries. I need that control in my shots that holding lower on the grip doesnt help.

Do we need to hold the grip tight while hitting or hold the grip loose as I see players such as pant, Pandya swinging so hard that bat comes out of their hand, so I assume they hold their grip a little loose to get that fast hand and swing , pls correct my assumption

This is mostly one of those innate traits of a batsman. No one can really take it as a solution if he's over and above the age of fabricating his batting technique. If someone is still in the purely learning phase, he can try holding bat in this way, but if someone has found his comfort zone while holding the handle from its shoulder, then he should sustain with that. Also, most coaches tell their players to hold it with long handle only when they need to strike gigantic hits; which's obviously non-arguable but at the same time, we need to be aware of the thing that holding grip of the bat doesn't really matter if you have a hasty bat swing, sweet timing of striking and an impressive follow-through after the shot.
Now for all those who are wondering of any batter's example who can strike long by having a lower handed grip...then Mohammad Nabi is the one for you. Go check his batting and remove all your myths. Because after all, nothing matters more than your individually manufactured batting style!!
