What is the gospel? Most Christians would probably talk about the death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus. But surprisingly, the disciples did not really know that gospel until later in Jesus' ministry, and when Jesus told them, they did not want to believe it! For them, the gospel was about the kingdom of God.
