You dont have to go light with accessories because your room is dark. It really depends on the mood you are trying to create and honestly…. Even if you wanted to lighten the space up, I certainly would not use white as it creates what i call “2005 modern” i.e a bold colour paired with pure white…. Instead id choose natural neutrals or lighter tints of complimentary colours like maybe a light sky blue.
