You don’t need more customers - you need this.
It will turn your side hustle into a business.
And that is the systems and processes within your business.
As I was growing and scaling I was just doing things that somehow fit together and at times achieved their intended goal and at other times created more work. I would work off a to-do list with no real direction, always focusing on the closest alligator to the boat.
But when we started to document the processes of what we were doing to accomplish our tasks and rolled those up in a working system that anyone on the team could run with and do on our own, we started operating more efficiently and making more money.
Often in a small business, you don’t need more leads or customers, they just need to fullfill what they have better. And this is the way. That can often 2x, 3x, or more your business by just operating better. Throwing more crap into a pile of crap is still… a pile of crap.
Start with a recurring weekly meeting with your teams.
Then identify where you all spend the most time on a recurring basis. Document the process, package it up, and implement it. Go step by step with it so a 5th grader could do it.
Then get better at tracking your data to know how you are performing (# of leads, # of sales, turnover, etc.).
Those 3 things will solidify your “business” into an actual business.
