Everyone makes a big deal about the HEUI engine cold starts. Assuming battery, glow plugs and harness are fine, healthy, injectors, good anti-gel, and anti-stiction additive in the oil is all you need for a smooth and easy cold star, IMO. My 6.0 has never had a problem.
