Recipe
3 Cups of Rolled Oats
1/2 cup honey
4oz salted butter
1-2 cups of chopped nuts and dried fruit of choice
1st vanilla
Pinch of salt
1/2 cup chocolate chips optional
More chocolate chips for melting chocolate
Brown your butter in a sauce pan on the stove.
Once off the stove, pour in your vanilla and honey and mix well.
Chop your nuts and dried fruit and add them to a bowl with the oats.
Pour in your butter and honey mixture until everything is coated well.
To 2 small lined baking dishes or 1 large baking dish press the granola mixture in till very compact. ( you can use a baking dish the same size as the one your using to evenly press everything down.
Bake for around 10-20 mins at 350 F depending on how soft or chewy you want them to be. For a crunchy bar, leave it in the oven for longer.
Once out of the oven don’t remove them from the dish. Allow them to cool in the pan and then completely cool in the fridge for an hour.
Once completely cooled cut with a large knife and drizzle on melted chocolate or peanut butter and sprinkle with salt. You can eat it straight away or have the chocolate set in the fridge .
If they crumble you can add a full layer of melted chocolate to the top and have it set in the fridge or freezer use it s bark or regular granola to crumble on ice cream or yogurt!
Store in the fridge and enjoy a homemade healthy snack☺️
