Hes 100% correct. Playing partey at right back? Odegard is a huge miss though. No creativity in midfield.

I totally agree with Julian. No reason Partey is at fullback other than his defensive ability. He’s a CDM/CM this was not a game where it was smart to use him in that position. White was available. Arteta is now overthinking everything. The biggest issue was the midfield play. Trossard is not a CAM or second striker. Jesus could be a second striker, but Arteta is trying too hard to be unpredictable. It’s to the point he’s doing things that no one would do, not because it’s risky with a high reward, but because it’s just plain a waste. You even have your solid defense confused. White Saliba Gabriel Timber is solid. Rice Partey Merino solid(until Odegaard returns). Martinelli Havertz Saka. It’s maybe predictable but it works.

We will not win every game. Lets face it. Other teams have not come ball watching. Arteta is trying his best based on the players available to him. Let Arteta breathe. I am of the opinion that we should trust the process.

We only started playing well once arteta decided to go back to normality I agree we lost cause of that system arteta does this to himself all the time he’s his own worse enemy we been killing teams playing the 4-2-3-1 and having the players in the right position but today he over thought everything and it cost him
