I agree with you. People usually say the shorty is a really bad choice, but it depends! In my elo (very low) I almost ALWAYS get one kill or more in pistol round with the shorty

I only use shorty when i see that enemy viper has the ult, because usually a good aim classic can do at least as good as a shorty for a cheaper price, and sometimes those few credits spent on the shorty can steal away a vandal in a lose round after a force buy

Me being a viper main who always has a shorty on me to the point I just expect to have it. I buy it so much that sometimes when I’m saving I get only a shorty. It’s so op as a viper main especially in my ult. I’ve even killed other viper’s just walking in their ult with a shorty.

Yes if you do Economy with reyna and buy shorts you can sometimes get a Phantom and full life and shield for just 150 creds

I don't remember how i ended up starting using it, but i think it was this one game in split, where I decided to eco with only a shorty and half shield, and his behind the small box on b entrance on defence, and goddamn 3k , and yes it was a bronze lobby but yeah, worked like a charm.

When I first started playing, I would always use a shotgun and also mained kj. On pistol round, I just buy the cheapest gun i can after buying my util and I just buy a shorty. Somehow, being the worst in my friend group at the time, I got an ace with it

It’s a great back up but don’t buy just the shorty unless ur doing a one and done on ct or just playing in some rat sport
