Im pretty sure you can import CSV back into Excel to do traditional spreadsheet edits and then export it back to csv to then import it into the radio software. 😅

Manual data entry kills me. I was gifted RTSystems software for my FTDX-10. And you'd think HF radio would be a pretty universal in the programming and that some program files would exist somewhere... but nope.

Just like you show in the video GMRS radio speaks to the video Anytone. But the Anytone does not have audio output to the no-tone channel of gmrs or een Murs. But Anytone works on all the rest of my code plug.

Two things, Chirp can also be used to import/edit/export CSV files, that may be an easier way to do editing. Depending on the CSV format of the anytone this may or may not work.

Two, I have an idea to produce a CSV translator tool in python. I have a goal of a single source of truth for all my radio "channels", and then use whatever varios programmer/CPS tool is needed to program whichever radio. Expecting I'll have time to work on it in late 24Q1, with a goal of it being easy to extend for new CSV/Radio formats.

I might be mistaken but it looks like you're using wideband for FRS. I believe they are supposed to be 12.5 KHz while GMRS channels can be 25.

Can you please help me comprehend how to program FRS and GMRS into my Anytone 578uviii plus? The freq range only goes to 450mhz for transmit. So, how do I program so I can Tx and Rx on these channels?

Can that be done with the AT587 Tri-band?

I find it easier to dump it into an Excel file, create the lineup I want, and then I just copy it all into chirp.

Do you have it set to 12.5 or 25 and what power setting are you using?

Why do you have to edit? Are the frequencies that are in there not accurate?
