I'm 53 and I've never thought about that question before and I can't honestly give you an answer since my abuse started when I was SA at seven years old. Sad to think who I would have been had no abuse ever had taken place in my life. I do know I was a happy, bubbly loving girl prior to 7.

Absolutely agree, your home is your sanctuary and I love spending time by myself and pets. I spend a lot of time out with family and friends too, it's a balance, but often I'm more content by myself. I think your point of is it really our free choice, free will I think it is. We can't put up with bullshit from fake people anymore, I know my tolerance level is zero and I can't stand being around fake people anymore. It's like get me home! ❤

It just feels better tbh, but it's important to encourage ourselves to live life once in a while and go out there. As much as we might feel good being alone, it can become unhealthy.
