Bias ply tires with a high sidewall have their advantages and their disadvantages. The advantage is if you do curb one at speed (as seen here….sh*t happens) you can just drive home and clean it up with some bleach-white and a stiff bristle brush where with a big rim and rubber band radial you’d be dragging it home on a tow truck with a broken wheel. The downside is how easy it is to out-drive the grip on a skinny bias ply and wind up going over a curb in the first place.
