I absolutely get what he is talking about, as I lived in Germany for a very long time. This is the illusion of safety people are very anxious and not the open social warm hearted mix. For a mother to want safety and a man who's is able to provide that feeling is key for establishing an emotionally sane relationship and family foundation.
