The first recorded use of fuzz that I am aware of was on the Marty Robbins song Don't Worry, from 1960. It wouldn't surprised me if there was an even earlier example though.

Definitely an iconic riff, unmistakable for people from my generation. Also iconic are the initial lyrics and chorus " I can't get no satisfaction". Absolutely Shakesperian. Right on Parr with the intro to Gimme Shelter with the lyrics. Definitely gut level communication. High art on street level format. Deep expression emerging from growing up in post WW2 England. As is usually the case, genius comes with a substantial introductory fee. And they are still creating. It's really a wonder😮

I swear that song was on the charts for years. It came out when i was a wee lad. Still one of my favorites by the Stones.

Jackie Brenton and His Delta Cats, Rocket 88 (1951). Arguably the first rock song. And has fuzz guitar. Also, Marty Robbins, Don’t Worry (1961).

The Beatles come in second place, by using the fuzz effect on Paul McCartney’s bass for the song Think For Yourself. It was released on the Rubber Soul album on December 3rd, 1965.

They accualy just wanted it trumpets still but the studio sent it to the radio station.
The rolling stones panicked and thought it sounded bad and that thought they were done for. The trumpet version you played was different. It would have sounded more relatively similar to the normal one.

Heart Full of Soul by The Yardbirds was released in the UK on the same day Satisfaction was released in the US. Jeff Beck used a fuzzbox to get a sitar-like tone for the main riff.

It isn't the first example of fuzz distortion in a hit song. Marty Robbins' "Don't Worry" can probably be cited as the first. Then before "Satisfaction" there was, believe it or not, the Green Acres theme song. It used the same FZ-1.

Another example of a “Re-Intro” you didn’t mention is Crazy Train. We open on the iconic guitar riff in that song, and after the first two verses and Randy Rhoad’s insane solo, we hear it again as it leads us to the third and final verse.

The fuzz guitar sounds so much better than the horns

“Satisfaction” was released in 1965, but the Beatles used fuzz at the start of “I Feel Fine” in 1964…

All just a year after The Kinks' "You Really Got Me", with its pioneering use of a fuzz guitar riff. Which was a no. 1 hit...

It’s a horns were used. It would sound like the band “The grassroots” played the song.

Do you any plans for future keyboard intros videos in the future? One on pipe organ intros could be interesting

The first time I recall hearing that a fact was in Think For Yourself on Rubber Soul but I think the liner notes said that that was the bass.
