Surely Elba is a secure place to keep him and won't result in him making a landing on the European mainland with his supporters and staging a comeback with his loyalists. That's called foreshadowing.

Now I want to see the alternate timeline where Napoleon breaks out of prison and tries to become Emperor of India by overthrowing the EIC. 😂

Fun fact, after Napoleon’s second defeat and exile to Saint Helena. The islanders only just learned of his first exile to Elba.

As soon as Napoleon became king of Elba, he went on that CK3 grind and basically developed growth the entire island up to +30 for month.

Corsica was too much but india was considered sufficient

Amazing

Considering what he did for Elba in the short time he was there, maybe he should’ve been sent to India

Imagine a timeline where Napoleon was sent to India and he just casually takes rule over the EIC or overthrows them.

Reminds me of a scene from Austin Powers.
"Why don't we just shoot him?"
"No. We're going to place him in an easily escapable situation then turn our backs."

Another interesting part about Napoleon's exile to Elba was that he was actually allowed to keep the title of Emperor........of Elba. Yeah, it was probably tsar Alexander's idea since he and Napoleon were long time ago seemingly very good friends.
