Another interesting part about Napoleon's exile to Elba was that he was actually allowed to keep the title of Emperor........of Elba. Yeah, it was probably tsar Alexander's idea since he and Napoleon were long time ago seemingly very good friends.

Surely Elba is a secure place to keep him and won't result in him making a landing on the European mainland with his supporters and staging a comeback with his loyalists. That's called foreshadowing.
