Stiff and achy shoulders up top? Try these out!👇🏼
🚨 The shoulder moves a lot. It’s one of the most mobile joints in the body - it has to be!
Lack of shoulder mobility can sometimes feel like tightness, pain, and pinching. This depends on how efficient (or not) the scapular and rotator cuff muscles are.
😓 Limited thoracic extension can also impact shoulder flexion range. A decrease in length or an increase in stiffness of the lats can also lead to limitations in movement.
🙅🏻♀️ Lack of strength and flexibility in these muscles can actually cause tightness and adaptations to occur within the shoulder, or sometimes vice versa. This can also cause compensation in other areas.
💪🏼 Mobility and strength exercises can do great things to free it up and get it ready to work
👆🏼 I’ve included 3 easy mobility drills that you can do. The ones in the video are in a kneeling position which you can try if you’re pregnant or if it feels more comfortable for you. Which one will you try? 1️⃣ is def my FAVORITE. 🙌🏼
