By 1939, the IRA was reduced to about 2000 men and was no longer a significant force.
In this video, they are given equivalence with the Irish State, which is entirely wrong.
They were rounded up for the duration of the war and interned in a camp. Five were executed. IRA leader Sean Russell went to Berlin and died on the way home in a sub NAzi infiltration of Ireland was farcical. In reality, Ireland colluded with the Allies to a very high level. To say anything else is historically wrong.

And for tens of thousands of Irish men, the concept of Ireland not fighting against Nazism was abhorrent so they went to Britain to fight.
