Way too many parents turn their babies forward-facing in car seats way too early. Did you know that when your baby is born, 25% of their weight is in their head? And even up to age four, a significant amount of weight is still in their head! That’s why it’s so important to keep them rear-facing as long as possible. I say this in almost every video I make! At the Kind + Jugend show in Germany, I met with AXkid, a European car seat company, and got to experience what it feels like for a child to be forward-facing in a car seat—even at slow speeds, it was scary. I can’t imagine how it would feel in a moderate crash. 😬 Keep your kiddos safe—rear-facing is the way to go
