Surprisingly, some of my longest-lasting things have been really cheap. Got a $300 Chromebook in high school and it lasted me almost a full decade. Got the cheapest possible unbranded game controller I could find and it's still perfect. I would prefer that over brand-new name-brand stuff because the more successful a business is, the more likely they are to sell you something that'll break in two years so you have to buy another one from them. That's been my experience.

It may be priced low but you have to know quality items. You can get new and slighly used and just buy what you need. People who mark the items in a thrift store don't know how to mark them. I always buy the best and have wonderful things.
