I don’t have a problem with people from other cultures changing cuisines and making them healthier (I am Asian). I think it’s part of life and people should have options. If you don’t like it, don’t drink it. But the issue here is that their “healthier” boba contains sugar as the second ingredient! How the f it’s healthy? That’s just misleading. Second, saying that it would no longer be an ethnic drink is problematic. You can change things up but you should acknowledge its roots and be respectful. Third, saying that people don’t even know what’s inside it, implying that Asian food is dirty, unhealthy or full of chemicals…. Girl, have you tried American food? The list of ingredients in a typical boba drink can be googled. There are some variations but usually places that sell boba disclose the ingredient list in the menu!

Yeah but why can't you be delicious and healthy. That's the big problem I think that's what they're trying to fix, however it's not appropriation if you're not claiming it was your invention. The big issue which is obvious is that, they're claiming that there's something wrong with the original drink, as if there's something they have to improve cuz it's bad. That's what they phrase wrong. I supposed to saying we have a healthier alternative option.

Yes! Thank you for mentioning the trend making everything "healthy". That's what bothered me about the pitch
