Not something I'd do for fun but, if you have to go, nonstops are usually better than changing (if you don't have time/funds for a proper break/stayover on the way.
11 hours is OK, (say SFO to London), especially if you can sleep a bit. 14.5 hours always seems way longer, (e.g. SFO to Hong Kong), but add 3+ hours onto that, and it will seem like a real chore!
