Metal band Unleash The Archers is known for it's genre-bending style of music and wanting to do something new on every album, and 'Phantoma' is no different. But rather than looking at their foundational influences like Iron Maiden, the band decided to look towards more modern metal for inspiration.

Just played the new album. It's a scorcher! I missed the riffing and grunt of the early albums..until now! This brings together all the hard metal edges and pristine guitars and the gloss and pomp of the last 2 into one perfect slab.

This whole clip makes Phantoma and Abyss make a ton more sense. I definitely had a particular expectation after Apex blew me away, and I won't lie, I was disappointed. But I have mad respect for a band wanting to follow their artistic goals rather than pander to commercial pressure. I enjoyed Phantoma much more than Abyss, and I can't wait to see where they go from here.

Apex will always be my favourite but Phantoma is incredible, although it took me some time to fully get into it. Good bands evolve. It's so refreshing to see a band altering their sound while retaining their identity, especially in a world where most power metal bands tend to just churn out the same uninspired stuff over and over again

Best album yet! I've listened to unleash the archers a few songs here and there.... This new album, I had to add all of them. I'm hooked!

I didn't enjoy it as much as Abyss, but it's still a damn solid album. And honestly, Abyss was a tough act to follow, one of my top ten power metal albums of all time.

I love the Album. Apex I think is still my favorite song, but both Abyss and Phantoma are amazing albums. I've had Give it up or Give it all on loop a lot lately and it has kept me going when I am exhausted.
Thank you for all the music ā¤ā¤ā¤

Maybe you should write more songs in exotic scalesā€¦like Lydian dominant etc. lets hope you know enough about music theory

I mean... Apex was literally a perfect album. Ghost in the Mist is pretty bad ass though!
