Axe is the kinda dad I wish I had..and not because of his wealth. He gave them love and support but didn't waste time by filling his kids heads with niave loser platitudes of fair play and kindness and the like but instead taught them how to win means be damned. Parents have 2 main objectives when raising kids. The first and most important is to let them know they are loved - most parents achieve that one naturally.

But the 2nd is to prepare them to survive and prosper in this world where life is almost defined by "competition" - and most parents fail miserably at this one. In part because they fill kids heads with idealist nonsense like fairness and putting others before yourself and all the other stuff that we all WISH was how the world worked. Depending on how deep the conditioning went, it can take people decades to snap out of "good guy" programming and realize nice guys truly do finish last.
