Everything can be affected by politic, as politic impact economy on macro scale
That is why people need to understand politic, so when things happen you know what to do
Political discussion discoraged in many online communities, because the moderator simply afraid to moderate them, but I believe political discussion related to the topic of online community are need to be encouraged at some degree to ensure people informed of the impact of political events on their communities
The discussion also need to be relevant? Such as the impact of geo politics to pc hardware cost is acceptable to be discussed on Computer forum discussion.
TLDR use common sense

Us europeans always had to deal with simular issues (prices of components are in general 10-20% higher) not to mention used market which basicly doesn't exist, and a decent 3070 is like 350 dolars with (in most cases) apsolitely no proof that it works or any benchmarks what so ever. We have it hard here enjoying our hoby

For those who are not really aware. They want to slap a 60 percent tariff in goods imported from China (and no, China does not pay for the tarrifs, its the companies and such importing such goods from the tarrifed country, and because its all about profits, they will ultimately pass the cost down to the customer. This is not just for computer parts, but for basically everything coming from China into the United States.) Additionally, they also want to slap a (up to) 20 percent tarrif on basically all other goods that are coming into the United States. Which means that everything will go up (and everything is already expensive as it is.) And if you think that they will bring manufacturing back to the U.S? Nope, they will simply go to other countries that have lower cost of labor, and won't be hit as hard by the tariffs (and they kind of are already doing that.)
Of course, tech products will really be hit hard, because overall, they tend to be priced really high. (as well as other big ticket items.)

I am definitely not politically smart enough to give in depth predictions/analysis. But I will definitely keep you guys updated throughout next year of the PC hardware market, price to performance value, and things like that. 👍
