I never get why wrestlers try to contract a main event match into their allotted time. As soon as KO and Jericho got put in that spot, they should have crafted a match that makes sense for 15 minutes.
For example, Matt Hardy vs Edge was a hot story going into Summerslam 2005. But with other matches on the card, the match itself was pushed out of the spotlight. So they went about four minutes, did a gnarly injury angle, kept the heat in the storyline and got out of there.
Wrestling should have more matches where thereās a sudden ending - a surprise KO, the underdog cinches in their submission early, the winner pulls out a great counter into their finish unexpectedly. There are tons of ways you can have a short match create a moment, an angle with some heat to take into the next match.
KO and Jericho could have done something like that. Instead they played the rhythm of a main event at the speed of a 15 minute match, and it was meh.

2016-2019 was such a dark period for wwe. We had the universal title hijacked by part timers, Jinder as champ, Bray was champ for about a month only for the person who beat him to drop it to Jinder. Samoa Joe shouldāve been out over Aleistar Black shouldāve been over. Shinsuke and AJ shouldāve been a better match. Iām missing a ton but this comment long af anyway
