Subway Sandwich Rolls
Ingredients:
3 cups warm water
4 Tbsp active dry yeast
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup oil
1 Tbsp salt
2 eggs
7 1/2 cups bread flour
Italian Herb Seasoning:
2 Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp dried oregano
1 Tbsp dried parsley
2 Tbsp grated parmesan cheese
Instructions:
1. In a stand mixer bowl, whisk together the warm water and yeast. Add in the sugar, oil, salt, and eggs, whisking to combine.
2. Gradually add the bread flour and knead on low speed for about 5 minutes. Let the dough rest for 10 minutes.
3. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface, divide into 4 equal portions, then divide each portion in half to create 8 pieces. Shape each piece into a 12-inch log.
4. Lightly spray the tops of the dough with water and roll them in the Italian Herb Seasoning mixture.
5. Place the logs on a silicone sub roll mat, scoring the tops with 4 shallow cuts.
6. Let the dough rise in a warm place until tripled in size, which should take about 1 hour.
7. Bake at 375°F for 15-18 minutes, then allow to cool in the molds before removing.
