Andrew's mum was a teacher at my school. For one lesson she asked us to bring in music. A friend brought in a cassette of Mr Brownstone by Guns n Roses but she turned it down just before the swearing. We were a bit surprised and disappointed. She must have pre listened to it! I wonder if she was hoping someone brought in Wham! By the early 90s Wham! had already been forgotten about. Probably none us even knew who they were at the time. In another Wham! related anecdote...they had their first 'gig' just up the road from where I lived at Bushey Scout Hut. And George's Godmother lived down my street. It's a small world!
