Quest 2 was my first headset and I “upgraded” to the 3.
The 3 has worse battery life, dies while plugged into a laptop dock that has like 120w delivery unlike my 2, has hand tracking but it sucks.
The only upsides are it is very comfortable with a third party strap and LIGHTWEIGHT, and pass through is kinda cool.
Honestly I miss my 2 😂

I've been rocking the rift S for the past 4 or so years. No problems really to speak of. It is tethered because I guess Oculus didn't invent wireless headsets yet, but still, really solid headset ngl.

I fixed the headache issue by just loosening the back strap and tightening the top strap. The headache appears in a different place than the back which makes it seem backwards, but trust me it works.
Other than that the only problem I have with it is the link software being awful (it used to be good but they upgraded it into something significantly worse)

Valve keeps pulling Ws with everything, even when they do nothing. HTC Vive and Index for the win!

I got a Quest 3, It seems pretty good so far, but then again, it is the first and only VR headset I have used besides the quest 2.
If you have any other suggestions for hardware, please do tell how it's better for the cost diffrence? I was himming and hawing between the Quest3 and the new HTV Focus Vision, but it's nearly a 1000$ diffrence between the two headsets. Should have I just saved for another month or two and pay the diffrence?
Wish I had seen this video before I bought it..seriously.. I probably bought it the day before the video was posted..

The quest 2 is the best option if you can't afford the newer one. Its respectable. It was elite in 2020

Vive Cosmos is still the best VR gear I owned, might be a little more expensive, but what you get is way worth it.
