I was 17 when this band hit.....GN'R put ALL their contemporaries to shame. This band had a ferocity like no other. They were equal parts Sex Pistols and Rolling Stones but uniquely themselves. Super talented, unapologetic and as raw as they come. This band is the real deal.

I was 24 years old driving 450 SL, pulled up to a guy i know house and this song was blasting out of the speakers in the house and I asked him , who is that ? he says man that's guns and roses It was welcome to the jungle and then I went straight down to peaches records on US1 and bought the CD and every song was great and that's probably the greatest hard Rock band that ever came out of the '80s. Still listening to them to this day at 61 years old

I was 14 and got sent away to a residential treatment center for wayward kids, lol . My boyfriend there gave me a copy of a new tale he had of a brand new band that he really liked. That was October of 87...3mos after it came out!! They were instantly my/our favorite band... Couldn't get enough!! Love these... Chinese Democracy Included!!👍

Untouchable in their prime. Axl was a force multiplier. If my life depended on a one time performance of all the greateat bands in history, I would put my chips on Guns in 87/88.

I was in 5th or 6th grade when this album came out and it was huge. This girl that lived across the street from me that I had a massive crush on had a GNR long sleeve shirt and the arms were red and the shirt part was white and it had the members of the band as skull heads on a cross like on the inside of the album. Cars would drive by blasting “Welcome to the Jungle “ and “Sweet Child of Mine “. Guns were the biggest band out at the time for sure.
