The Noble and enlightened bony 6 armed squid like creatures The Ammonites were blessed by the Traveller on the moons of Fundament. They were slaughtered by the Hive without mercy, ripping flesh and cracking shells. A Song given by the Traveler turned out to be their downfall.

A Darkness attuned collection of races spanning across 20,000 worlds. The Ecumene faced the Hive with their planet destroying technology, but it was not enough. It was the war with the Ecumene that pushed Oryx to acquire the power to ‘take’ which eventually obliterated them from history.
