Our key aim wit our van conversion was to build our new home as sustainably as possible. Because there are not that may product swaps you can do for the shower area, our main focus was on saving weight and therefore fuel! 🚐

Our lightweight ROLdoûr is from The Dour (gifted/ad),made to the exact millimetre and just perfect for our layout! It gives us extra space to move when we use our kitchen extension to cook, and it’s just so nice to have a private shower and toilet space in the van. Although we avoided synthetic materials in the rest of our van, we opted for waterproof marble-look shower panels to protect our van and save weight, and we’re honestly so pleased with how they look! Our toilet is a Nature’s Head which was just such a good investment - no smells and we only have to empty it about once a month 🌱

The most sustsinable aspect of our bathroom is probably how little water we use - the average person in the UK uses 142 litres of water each DAY, which is ten times more than we use in a week with our bidet, water-saving kitchen tap and compost toilet 💦
