I have never been an early adopter of high-end hardware before in my life. With the 30 series I made an exception, and purchased a 3080 for its original MSRP.
Never in my life have I been happier about making such a decision. I got astonishingly lucky.

I'm so lucky, I picked the very last moment when you could buy used for less than MSRP. As you can guess that was a WHILE ago, a 2060s for about a $100 savings because people thought the 30 series was about to come out!

I just got on Maingear's wait list and waited like 3 months for a prebuilt with a 3060

Right when I had the chance to where I might be able to build a PC, GPUs became super expensive... so I had to wait two whole years (in addition to the years I've been waiting to build one before that). It really sucked and I did eventually give in... older graphics card for too much, but at least I can play DX11+ games now. Integrated graphics sucked on the stuff that did end up running
